This series serves as a leading hub for Classical Archaeology, broadly conceived, bridging traditional material studies and new developments in the wider field. It welcomes research on material culture across a wide geographical range—from the British Isles to North Africa and the Eastern Mediterranean—and spanning the Iron Age through the end of the long Late Antiquity (c. 1000 BCE–1000 CE). The series publishes monographs and edited volumes that explore regions, settlements, and objects in context. Contributions employ state-of-the-art methodologies to investigate previously underexamined sites, regions, and materials, or to reframe well-known evidence through innovative approaches. By integrating specialist expertise from adjacent fields—including ancient history, philology, epigraphy, archaeobotany, archaeometry, and digital heritage—the series promotes a holistic understanding of ancient societies and their interaction with their environments. Individual volumes are richly illustrated with photographs, maps, and technical drawings, establishing the series as a key resource for future research.
